The story behind Westfield
Westfield (December 2020 – January 2021) was the channel's first long series, recorded almost daily as a real-time build for newcomers.
It grew steadily: farms and forestry, the first 10,000 citizens, a Japanese garden, a university and an art university, and a first roundabout that showed why roundabouts aren't always the answer. Reaching 32,000 citizens unlocked the next tile.
Hotels arrived along the river once the tourism specialisation was figured out, and from episode 25 the city switched to the Realistic Population Revisited mod — followed by trams to both universities, a car-free zone, a large hospital and a second university district with a football stadium.
Several of the channel's most-watched tutorials — hotels, parking lots, prop lines and Realistic Population — were made alongside this build.
