The story behind Cedarpoint County

Cedarpoint County introduced the One Tile at a Time challenge in November 2025: start with a single tile on a challenging modified map and finish it before unlocking the next.

The first tile became a dense downtown built by hand — manual building placement and realistic road hierarchies instead of standard grids, using the new Bridges & Ports features. Tile 2 added a central train station hub, a rebuilt highway entrance and a Japanese-inspired commercial district with deliberately run-down alleys.

Then came the working city: a port and industrial district that kept heavy traffic and pollution away from homes, and — after the bikes patch — bike lanes and parking garages retrofitted downtown before a detailed railway depot.

Viewers voted for a university district, which became two campuses by the beach. A downtown beach district, a North American-style shopping mall and a geothermal power plant with a heavy-industry rail yard followed.

Episode 8 was the last: the save file was lost, and the format moved on to Horizon Springs.
