Pine Grove County was a single pilot episode from October 2025, recorded after a six-month break from Cities: Skylines II.
It explores urban planning on a modified version of a California map — and tested the long, single-tile building sessions that became the One Tile at a Time format in Cedarpoint County a few weeks later.
