The story behind Traffic Surgery

Traffic has been the recurring villain of every series on this channel: the Westfield roundabout that couldn't cope, Verville's freight trains jamming the network, Springvalley's interchange rebuilds, Shiroku's second ramp lanes.

Traffic Surgery turns those lessons into a format. Each episode takes one junction that doesn't work — ideally from a viewer's own city — finds out why, and rebuilds it on camera.

Every episode ends with the numbers: traffic flow before and after, and the settings you can copy. The fixes are collected in the Engineering section.
